Masood Khan Advocates Increased IT Investments and Collaboration in Pakistan.



Ambassador Masood Khan urged IT entrepreneurs to increase investments in Pakistan during a meeting with a delegation in Washington. He praised the growth of Pakistan's tech sector, especially in fintech and healthtech, noting that IT exports had reached $4 billion. Highlighting Pak-US collaboration in the IT sector, he emphasized the potential for growth, with IT exports to the US amounting to $1.4 billion in 2022-23. He mentioned leading international IT corporations in Pakistan and observed that digitization, e-commerce, and improved supply chains were driving change. The delegation discussed initiatives like the "Certified Cloud Applied Generative AI" to train IT professionals and connect them with opportunities. They also expressed plans to establish a Tech National Incubation Centre and manufacture low-cost software products for export.
