Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the significance of mutually rewarding business-to-business cooperation between Pakistan and China as a key to the bright future of both countries. In a post on his X handle, he mentioned his participation in the China Pakistan Business Forum in Shenzhen, where he highlighted the potential for bilateral trade and investment, particularly in crucial sectors such as the transfer of Chinese technology, industry, information technology, agriculture, mining, steel, textiles, and renewable energy. The Prime Minister assured Chinese investors of Pakistan's commitment to facilitating their investments and ensuring the safety and security of Chinese individuals, projects, and investments in Pakistan.

In related news, the Prime Minister guaranteed foolproof security for Chinese nationals in Pakistan, while the Information Minister noted that Pak-China relations are entering a new era. Pakistan and Italy have agreed to undertake joint efforts against drug trafficking, and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has agreed to promote cooperation with Pakistan. The government is focused on providing facilities to foreign investors, which the Prime Minister reiterated during his visit to the Nanshan One Stop Services Center in Shenzhen. Additionally, the SIFC organized a seminar to create awareness about the "Plant for Pakistan" initiative, and World Environment Day was observed with the President reaffirming the commitment to environmental protection. Diplomatic engagements continued as Masood met with U.S. Representatives Jake LaTurner, Mike Turner, and Chuck Edwards to discuss bilateral issues.
