Students from Hyde-Addison Elementary School in Georgetown,
Washington D.C., visited the Embassy of Pakistan as part of the Embassy
Adoption Program, which promotes cultural exchange between schools and
diplomatic missions. During the visit, students presented on Pakistan’s
geography, culture, fruits, and sports. Ambassador Masood Khan emphasized
critical thinking, long-term goals, and the importance of education in Pakistan
and the U.S. School Supervisor Marie Connolly expressed gratitude for the
opportunity to learn about Pakistan.
This
year's program included a unique participation from Roots Millennium School in
Islamabad, connecting students from Pakistan and the U.S. through virtual
interactions. Ambassador Khan highlighted the value of people-to-people
connections and invited the students to attend the Embassy's mango festival,
reinforcing the strong bond between the Embassy and Hyde-Addison Elementary
School.
