President Zardari Advocates for Developing 'Technology Highways' in Pakistan

 

President Asif Ali Zardari has advocated for building "technology highways" in Pakistan by enhancing IT infrastructure for students, strengthening educational programs, and equipping them with modern skills. During a meeting with Quaid-i-Azam University Vice Chancellor Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar in Islamabad, Zardari emphasized the importance of providing laptops to students to bridge the digital divide and improve their competitiveness in job markets.




He also stressed the need to improve education quality and focus on students' character-building. Zardari proposed awarding top Quaid-i-Azam University students with Presidential Awards and cash incentives. He acknowledged the university's significant role in Pakistan's academic sector and promised support in addressing its financial challenges.

The Vice Chancellor updated the President on the university's quality education efforts, programs, and administrative matters.
